Mr. Carroll W. Brown, 81, of Glen Burnie, Maryland passed away on March 4, 2010 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Mr. Brown was born in Maryland in 1928 to the late Carroll and Helen Brown. At 15, Carroll joined the Merchant Marines and went to Russia. He joined the US Navy and served 4 years, then joined the US Army and served in Korea & Japan in the 187th Airborne Division where he received a purple heart from Korea. While in the Navy he was a hard hat diver in the Phillipines. Mr. Brown was a true patriot and family man who had a love of golf. He was the devoted husband of 59 years of Sylvonia Grace Brown; devoted father of Michael Brown, Jacqueline Oliver and Karen Mitchell; dear brother of Dale Stave; and cherished grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
