He met and married the love of his life Viola Patterson on July 23, 1955. Out of this union four children were born. Together they lived a loving life and led by example.
"Buddy" as he was affectionately known was a very kind and generous man who was loved by all. He lived his life to serve others before himself. He never met a stranger that he did not welcome with open arms. Biologically he had four children but was a father to many. He loved to talk and give advice "even sometimes unsolicited" He enjoyed cooking, traveling, entertaining, sports, casinos, and was very gifted with his hands but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Sharing time and telling stories of his early childhood with his children was a great part of his past time. He was loved by many.
