Virginia Sohn

Virginia Pumphrey Sohn, 91 of Linthicum, formerly of Glen Burnie, passed away on February 22, 2014. Virginia was born on June 22, 1922 in Glen Burnie to Louis and Anne Pumphrey. She was a Glen Burnie High School graduate, Class of 1939. Mrs. Sohn was a member of the Church of the Crucifixion, Father McGiveny Women's Guild, Earleigh Heights Auxiliary and the Gerard Plaza Women's Club. She enjoyed playing pinochle and other cards; spending time with her family and friends and loved to travel, having traveled all 50 states. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, J. Carl Sohn; her brothers, Louis and Robert Pumphrey. She is survived by her children, Carl Sohn and his wife, Carol, Nancy Schupple and her husband, Hank, Kathleen Gordon and her husband, Paul, Sr., Michael Sohn and his wife, Patricia, and Jennie Zucco and her husband, Keith ; her dear friend, Tony Gnacyk; her sisters, Leonora Gary and Katherine Gray. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
