Theresa Fiore

Theresa H. Fiore, 94, a resident of Ferndale, MD for 62 years, passed away on May 18, 2013. She was born on July 30, 1918 in Plattsburg, NY to the late Leo and Florence Bernard. She attended St. Peter's High School and graduated in 1936. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Ferndale Community Club, in which she was the last charter member. Theresa volunteered with the Red Cross, Operation Welcome Home and was also the first cafeteria manager at Spalding High School. She enjoyed fishing, traveling to Delaware, riding in antique cars, welcoming home the soldiers, was an avid bingo player and excellent seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Saverio Anthony Fiore. She is survived by her three children, Virginia Marie Stephan and husband Jack, Susan Theresa Berros and husband James and Joseph Anthony Fiore and wife Linda; nine grandchildren, Madison, Patrick, Samuel, Stephanie, Lia, Athena, Nicole, Philana and James; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way; and one brother, Lucian Bernard. Flowers are appreciated or donations may be made to Operation Welcome Home, or Ferndale Community Club, 15 5th Avenue North; Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
