Samuel Hale

Samuel Elwood Hale, 97, along time resident of Glen Burnie passed away on February 22, 2013. He was born in Naulokla, VA in Caroline County on May 28, 1915 and spent his younger years in Elevon, VA. Elwood served in the Army Air Corp. from 1944-1946. He retired from the Maryland Transit Administration with over 30 years service. Elwood faithfully attended Glen Burnie Baptist Church and enjoyed the fellowship of his Sunday School Class, Wednesday night dinners and Silver Sages. Elwood was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Gischel Hale and his second wife, Iva Thomas Hale. He is survived by a step-daughter, Delores Lowe and her husband, Bill of Hampton, VA a step-son, Lennie R. Thomas, Jr. and his wife, Joyce of Glen Burnie, and a niece, Barbara Dustin and her husband, William of VA. Elwood is also survived by many family and friends in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina and special friends, Brenda Ballentine and Mike, Linda and Michael Wagner.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Glen Burnie Baptist Church.
