Matilda Burke

Matilda A. Burke, 91, a resident of Glen Burnie for 53 years, formerly of Locust Point, died on January 15, 2012. She was born on February 5, 1920 in Baltimore, MD. Matilda was employed with Westinghouse for 28 years and was a member of the Lady Knights of Columbus in South Baltimore. She enjoyed landscape painting, photography, cruises and bus tours. They formed a club within their social group, "Dolliwogs", and traveled all over the country. Matilda was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Burke Sr. She is survived by her two sons, Nick Burke Jr. and his wife Joyce and Allen Burke; one granddaughter, Tracey Tranchini; and two great-granddaughters, Abigail and Julianna.
