Mary Sasse

Mary J. Sasse (Nee Weigman), 95, a resident of Linthicum for over 60 years, died on February 19, 2012 at St. Agnes Hospital. Mary was born in 1916 in Philadelphia, PA and was raised in the Catonsville and Baltimore, MD area. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Sasse was a long time member of the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the St. Philip Neri Ladies Sodality & Bible Group. She was also the secretary for many years of the Linthicum Senior Citizens Club. Mary enjoyed family, friends, and senior activities. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Frederick J. Sasse, Sr.; her son, Frederick J. Sasse, Jr.; grandson, Matthew Sasse; and two brothers, Joseph and Vincent Weigman. She is survived by four daughters, Maria Miller and husband Paul, Carolyn Wilson and husband Herb, Carol Vasquez and husband Jose, and Gail Myers and husband Richard; daughter in law, Elizabeth Sasse; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
