Margaret Wells

Margaret Yvonne "Maggie" Wells (Nee Sagul), 92, passed away on January 29, 2013. Maggie was born on August 12, 1920, in Donora, PA. She resided in Pasadena for 55 years. She is the beloved mother of 3 children, Vickie Gartside and husband Chuck, Grayson Wells and wife Kathleen, and Rebecca Sager and husband Louis; loving grandmother of Jason Gartside and wife Johanna, and Joe Schmitz; dear great grandmother of Madison Gartside and Joey Schmitz. She is the beloved sister of Dr. Edith Sagul of New York, Mrs. Betty Battalora of LA, and Mrs. Lucy Serra of PA, also sister-in-law of Dr. George C Battalora, Jr. of LA and Bernadette Sagul of GA. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gray Wells in 1982; her parents, Anna Spisak Sagul and John Sagul; a brother, LTC John Sagul and 3 sisters, Mildred O'Lenic, Elsie O'Brien and Col. Helen Sagul.

Margaret graduated from Donora, PA High School. She attended and graduated from the Franklin School of Nursing, May 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA. Margaret came to Maryland and worked at the Social Security Board. She met and married her husband Gray Wells. Later, graduating from the South Baltimore General Hospital School of Nursing, where she worked as a nurse until her retirement, at which time she enjoyed her family and friends. Maggie was a member of Severna Park United Methodist Church. She enjoyed trips to Vermont, PA and other scenic places. She enjoyed crocheting and made beautiful items.
