John Malinski

December 17, 1937 — February 2, 2012

John Malinski son of the late Stella and John Malinski Sr. was born on Dec. 17, 1937 in Baltimore City, Maryland. John suddenly passed away on February 2, 2012. John worked for many years at the Providence Center Baldwin Ind. location, until he was unable to do so anymore.
He took great pride in giving everyone the weather for the week and telling Sophia what her weekend off weather was going to be like. He always listened to Marty Bass on WPOC in the am so his weather report was always on point. He also would listen to the celebrity birthdays by Laurie Deyoung on WPOC, his only radio station and never missed the 12noon playing of the Star Spangled Banner.
His favorite TV station was WBAL. He loved Westerns movies his favorites were The Lone Ranger, Bonanza, and High Noon. He loved to listen to Ravens Football and Orioles baseball games on the radio and was looking forward to the Super Bowl Game.
John loved calling his family, going out to eat with Friends, spending time with Frieda his wife and with his best friend-"Rocky" the dog.
He was affectionately known by all his friends as "the weatherman" and also known as "the candy man" he always had a bag of candy in his pocket.
He also loved having a Bud Light or two on the weekend. He enjoyed singing You Are My Sunshine, How Much is that Doggy in the Window, Pistol Packin Mama, and a host of Holiday favorites.
John was preceded in death by his brothers: Peter Malinski, Henry Malinski, his sisters: Marie Rosenberger, Sophie Reddish, Anna Malinski, and Frances Corun. John is survived by his wife Frieda Bauer, his sisters Helen Chellin, Geraldine Lang, Dorothy Fratantuono and many nieces and nephews. Special thank you to his nephew Hank Malinski Jr., and the loving staff that cared so much, Josherlin Bond, Selma Brown-Kellam, Sophia Smith.
