Joan Ferris

Joan Ferris, 79, a long-time resident of Glen Burnie, died peacefully on April 15, 2013 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center, after battling cancer. She was born in Maryland on October 22, 1933. Her interest included traveling around the country, spending time in Ocean City, and spending time with her family and friends. She was also an avid Orioles and Ravens fan. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, David Ferris, Sr., who died in 1992, and her sisters, Dorothy Lucke and Margaret Schwartze. She is survived by her son, David Ferris, Jr., and his family and children. They include his wife, Susan, and their children, Andrew Ferris, Kathryn Phillips (husband, Neal) and Kevin Ferris. She had two beautiful great-grandchildren, Lola and Scarlett Phillips. Joan is also survived by her daughter, Karen Kellner, and her family and children. They include her husband, William Kellner, and their children, Ashley and Lindsey. She also had numerous friends and extended family.
