Janet Hein

February 11, 1928 — November 14, 2014

On Friday, November 14, 2014, Janet Hein, a longtime resident of Pasadena, passed away at the Genesis Elder Care in Severna Park. Mrs. Hein was born on February 11, 1928 to Alfred and Marie Turner in Philadelphia, PA. She worked as a secretary for the Governor's office and as a receptionist at North Arundel Hospital. Janet loved to help our community by volunteering, and has been active in the Ki-wives of Glen Burnie, Order of the Eastern Star in Odenton, Partners in Care, G.B.I.A. Carnival, Bello Machre, Eastern District Police Community Relations Council, Holy Trinity Seniors, and North Arundel Hospital Auxillary. Besides volunteering she also enjoyed crossword puzzles, bus trips, shopping, going to O.C. and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hein was preceded in death by her husband August Hein, Jr, and her granddaughter Michelle Tewey. She is survived by her children, August Hein, III and his wife Robin and Marie Tewey and her husband Michael, her grandchildren; Michael Tewey, Jr. and his wife Jessica, Melissa Tewey Christopher Hein, and Lauren Hein, and her great grandchildren; Austin, Logan, Chase, and Connor Tewey.
