Helen Stansberry

Mrs. Helen Helmer Stansberry passed away at Seasons Hospice in Northwest Hospital on May 17, 2013. She was born Helen Florance Helmer on June 10, 1913 in Brooklyn, MD to Arthur and Amelia Helmer. She lived in Glen Burnie from 1925 to 1994 when she moved to Augsberg Lutheran Home in Baltimore. Helen graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1931. She worked for Maryland Hotel Supply for many years and retired from there in the 1960's. Mrs. Stansberry was a member of the Accountants Assoc. of MD, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glen Burnie where she taught Sunday School. Helen enjoyed traveling with her many friends and took trips with the Holy Trinity Senior's Group.
She is preceded in death by her former husband Aubrey Stansberry; her parents; and her sisters, Caroline Glass, Hilda Scott, and Elizabeth Taylor. Helen is survived by her nephews; Henry Glass and his wife Shirley, Arthur Scott and his wife Pat, and William Scott; and her niece Carolyn Glass. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
