Frederick Kerby

Frederick Allen Kerby "Al", 81, of Glen Burnie passed away on October 13, 2016. Al was born in 1935 in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated from the Polytechnical Institute of Baltimore, Class of 1953, and then served in the US National Guard from 1957-1960. Al was trained as a Master Auto Technician. He worked as an Auto Claims Adjuster for GEICO, then went on to become the owner and operator of Delta Appraisers. Al was a member of the Knights of Columbus Lodge 1435, the Moose Golf Club and the Oakie Dokie Travel Club. He enjoyed woodworking, playing golf, shooting pool and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marian Kerby (nee Stolarski); two daughters, Kimberly Hammersmith and her husband Michael, and Cheryl Grove and her husband Philip; five grandchildren, Nathan, Eric, Caitlin, Leslie and Amelia; and one great-grandson, Tavi. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 Attn: Gift Processing-OR- Alzheimer's Association, Greater MD Chapter, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
