SHANNON, EDWARD DONALD, a resident of Millersville for 40 years, died on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Edward was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 20, 1938. He served in the Untied States Army from 1955-1958. Edward was employed as a Senior Systems Engineer with Unisys and retired after 36 years of service. He enjoyed reading, watching old movies and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty J.; two sons, Michael and his wife Carol and Matthew Shannon; one step-daughter, Jill Ryan; four grandchildren, Angela, Michael, Adam and Jason; and three siblings, David Shannon and wife Kathleen, Maureen Dougherty and husband Michael and Timothy Shannon and wife Pat.
