Edna Upton

Edna Phyllis Upton (nee Barton) of Severn, Maryland passed away on April 16, 2015. She was born to the Reverend Henry and Annabell Barton on August 8, 1919 in Prince Frederick, Maryland. She was raised in Prince Frederick and later in Frederick, Maryland where her father ministered an Assemblies of God church.

She married Elzie L. Upton on June 10, 1939. She lived the remainder of her life in Severn, Maryland where she was a homemaker and raised her four children. She was a long time member of the Pasadena Assemblies of God church.

Those left to cherish her loving memory include her son, E. Ronald Upton of South Boston, Virginia; and her daughters, Marlene Wollney of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Brenda Jones of Annapolis, Maryland, and Sharon Koenig of Severn, Maryland. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey R. Jones, Bryan U. Jones, William L. Koenig and Deborah A. Baldwin; and her great-grandchildren, Lauryn A. Baldwin, Kaitlyn A. Baldwin, Aiden T. Jones and William J. Koenig.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, her grandsons, Michael R. Upton and Richard K. Jones; and also her son-in-laws, William Wollney and William Koenig.

This wonderful Christian lady will be greatly missed and remembered for her love of family, devotion to her friends and unfailing faith in God.
