Cora Stone

Cora Elizabeth Stone, 77, of Ferndale, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 19, 1940, in Baltimore to the late H. Donald and Cora L. (Burton) Barnes. She married the love of her life Richard Walter Stone. She enjoyed playing the slot machines, her dogs, painting, crafts and going to the Bahamas. Cora was a very loving and caring person. She worked for over 30 years as a hostess at G&M Restaurant, where she enjoyed the customer's and interacting with people. However her greatest jobs were being a wife, mother, and "Grammy".
She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard W. Stone; loving children, Vicki Taylor, William Ashby(Mary), and Frank Wallace(Christa); her cherished grandchildren, Richard F. Taylor, III, Jamie Ryan Taylor, Stephanie Morris, William C. Ashby, Aaron Wallace, Becca Wallace, Jason Mathis, and Jessica Wallace; and her beloved great-grandchildren; her aunt, Ruth Burton Guerassio; and her cousin Irene Walker.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave, SW (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Thurs., Jan. 11th, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Fri., Jan 12th, at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Louden Park.
