Celia Majoros

Celia T. Majoros (nee Shryock), 95, of Glen Burnie, passed away on July 19, 2014. Celia was born on September 7, 1918 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Marion and Albert Shryock. Celia started out working at her mother's tea room in Minneapolis and then became a member of the Red Cross. She was stationed in Japan where she met and married her husband, Michael. Celia then went on to work as a bridal consultant for Hutzler's in Harundale. She belonged to the Church Circle at Harundale Presbyterian Church and enjoyed reading, China painting, water color painting, playing the piano, and hosting parties.

Celia is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Michael J. Majoros, Sr.; her loving children, Michael J. Majoros, Jr. and his wife Carol, Marion Phennicie and her husband Frank, and Kathleen Ortega and her husband James; her beloved grandchildren, Raymond Dorschel, Michael Majoros III and his wife Sarah, Scott Majoros and his wife Shannon, Matthew Majoros, David Ortega, and Jennifer Ortega; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Celia was preceded in death by her grandson, John Majoros.
The family requests memorial contributions to be made in Celia's name to Harundale Presbyterian Church.
