Catherine Zelinskas

Catherine B. Zelinskas (nee Ward), 73, a resident of Linthicum Heights for 28 years and previously of Halethorpe, died on August 17, 2012 at Seasons Hospice at Northwest Hospital. Ms. Zelinskas was born February 23, 1939 in Pembroke, Bermuda to the late Voorhees and Alice Huger Ward. She moved to Maryland from Savannah, GA in 1961 where she worked for Westinghouse briefly, was an elementary school teacher, and later settled into the restaurant business. She enjoyed being a homemaker, spending time with a few friends and her children. She was an avid outdoors person. She is survived by her son, Rhett Bloomquist of Timonium; daughter, Julia Vogl of Eldersburg; and brother, Frederick Gibson Huger of Rincon, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society Memorial Program, 1041 Rt. 3 North Building A1, Gambrills, MD 21054.
