Bobbie Lovens

Bobbie Edith Lovens of Hanover, MD passed away on November 28th, 2012 at Genesis Nursing Home, Severna Park, MD. Bobbie was born April 18th, 1914 in Rose Hill, Virginia to the late Andy and Sarah Pace. She grew up in VA as a farmer's daughter the 2nd child of 8 children. In 1942, Bobbie moved with her family to MD and found work in the Defense field in support of World War 2. In later years she was employed by the State of MD for 30 years and retired in 1976. Bobbie enjoyed writing stories about her life, gardening, quilting, and cooking. She was also a collector of various items to include depression dishes, coins, salt and pepper shakers. Bobbie was generous, caring and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Lovens; daughter, Freda C. Campbell; brothers, James Pace and Carl Pace; sisters, Hazel Milwee, Gladys Forsythe, Fern Clement, and Freda Chaney. She is survived by her loving daughter Mary E. David (Steve), her sister Betty Hale from Pennington Gap, VA, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
