Arthur Simmons

Arthur D. Simmons, 84, a 50 year resident of Glen Burnie, passed away on July 30, 2012. Arthur was born in Clarksburg, WV on May 25, 1928. He served in the US Air Force and retired after 21 years of service; he received the Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He went on to work for the State of Maryland and retired as a property tax assessor and also worked part time at BWI for Pier D security. His hobbies included coin collecting, traveling, crossword puzzles, listening and talking on his HAM radio, watching Old Western and Science Fiction movies and recording video tapes and dvd's for his family. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Hiroko; daughter, Patricia Anne Griffin and husband Ronald; two step-grandsons, Willie and John Griffin; two sisters, Christine Simmons and Anna Schools; and one grand-dog, Baci. He was preceded in death by his six siblings.
