Anna Agnes Frentz, 91, a resident of Glen Burnie for 69 years, passed away on June 8, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She was born in Baltimore, MD on June 19, 1920. She met her husband, Carl E. Frentz, during World War II at a dance at the 5th Regiment Armory in Baltimore. When she got home from the dance, she told a friend she had a met the man she was going to marry. She found out later that her husband followed her home from the dance. They married in 1943 and moved into a home on Dorsey Road in Glen Burnie, where they raised their children, Thomas A., John E. and Carl W. Frentz. Her husband died in April, 1969. When her youngest son was in high school, she began selling Stanley Home Products and later worked in a clothing store warehouse. When the Pascal Senior Center opened, she joined and enjoyed ballroom dancing, square dancing, line dancing, aerobics and taking bus trips to dinner theatres. When the Maryland Aviation Administration bought her house on Dorsey Road, she moved to a new home near the Church of the Crucifixion, where she became active in helping in the kitchen preparing food during bingo, wedding receptions and other church activities. She also helped organize the Senior Ministry and enjoyed being with her friends each month.
