Anna Dupuis

Anna (Ann) Dupuis of Pasadena, age 87, died peacefully on April 17, 2015, in the home that she loved.
Ann was born in Munich, Germany, on January 5, 1928. She was the daughter of Katharina and August Regnet. She lived in Munich during WW2. While living in Munich she attended school and Business College there.
Ann met her husband Wilfred Joseph Dupius in Munich when he was stationed with the U.S. Army at McGraw Kaserne. They got married on March 5, 1955. Ann enjoyed being an Army wife and traveling the world with her husband and their two sons. During their Army days they lived twice in Germany, in Belgium, Washington state, Kansas, and Arizona.
In 1964 Ann and her two sons moved to Glen Burnie, MD while her husband served in the Vietnam War. In 1975 they moved to Pasadena, MD and enjoyed many years and family gatherings in their home.
After Ann's husband retired from the Army in 1971, she started her career with the Federal Government. In 1972 she started working in the Military Pay Section at Fort Meade, and later she worked in the Civilian Pay Section, until retiring in November 1990.
Ann was a loyal and active member of the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge No. 1456, and the Women of the Moose No. 1176. She enjoyed attending their events. During her time there she was Secretary for the Chapter's Senior Citizen's Club. She also set up the monthly Casino bus trips to Delaware.
Mrs. Dupuis was a world traveler. She loved taking trips overseas and in the USA. Every year she went on a major trip somewhere. Ann traveled to 13 countries in Europe and to Australia and New Zealand. She has been to 48 states, including Hawaii. Her last trip at age 86 was to Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, which she really enjoyed.
Ann enjoyed playing Bingo and the Casino penny slot machines. She was a whiz at doing crossword puzzles and loved watching T.V game shows.
She never forgot her beloved Munich. Ann later became an U.S. Citizen. She was a loyal American who loved her country and living in the USA.
Ann is survived by her two sons, Lewis Ronald Dupuis and his wife Joanie, of Thurmont, MD; and Kenneth William Dupuis and his wife Gail, of Glen Burnie, MD. She is also survived by three granddaughters; Danielle Dupuis, Lindsay Dupuis, and Jessica Geibig, three great granddaughters; Brooke Geibig and Isabella Baker, and Riley Fehr, her beloved dog Heidi, and special friends and neighbor, Pat and Bob Antlitz.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Dupuis, her parents, Katharina and August Regnet, her sister, Eva, her brother, August, and her nephew Gerhart.
Ann thoroughly enjoyed her long and active life, her many travels, and her beloved family, pets, and friends. Her beautiful smile lit up any place she was at.
